Whiskey Bound started off in their hometown of Wooster, OH practicing in the basement of Chris’ store at the time back in February 2015. They originally wanted to start off as a 90’s alternative rock band and slowly transitioned into a Country, Southern Rock, Blues and Funk band trying to cover as many genres as possible for everyone to enjoy.
Chris and Steve grew up around music and always dreamed of starting a band together one day. Thanks to their friend Dan who owned the Ugly Duck in Wooster, he gave them their first big break and booked their debut on Sat 3/5/16. That was a night they would never forget. The place was packed shoulder to shoulder all night. There were people partying outside on the deck and parking lot because they couldn’t get in because they were already at capacity. With the crowd screaming and cheering they knew they found what they have been searching for.
After making several changes to the band as well as members breaking off to proceed solo acts, they have been fine tuning their sound to provide the best experience for their fans. They have performed at many of the area’s top venues including the Dusty Armadillo, Thirsty Cowboy, House of Blues just to name a few. Their music has also been played on WMMS, WQMX, WGAR, and Wadsworth Community Radio. Additionally, they travel to surrounding states including PA, WV, MI for parties and festivals.
They primarily play in Akron, Canton, and Cleveland areas, but always make it back to their hometown of Wooster, OH every year. With their crowd interactions and getting people on stage to play cowbell, tambourine, etc. you will certainly have a great time. They are a favorite on the local bar circuit, and everyone is guaranteed to have a kick-ass time when they perform, come on out to one of their shows and see them for yourself!
